I went to an incredibly ridiculous Bible College before I escaped Christianity and I would have been embarrassed to turn this shit in. This is just like, middle school tier shit. The admissions personnel who let this girl into college should be the ones on leave.

Honestly two requests at a local library can be enough to make a book get looked at for ordering a second time. With very limited budgets, knowing even two people are definitely interested enough to ask about it is a huge recommendation.
I once asked a bookseller at a large indie store how many people would have to buy a book for it to get the attention of the store buyer and cause an additional order and they said: Three.
I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.
