I’m really only just getting into it but I genuinely love birding as a hobby. The entire goal is to look at the bird. Is there a bird? There is a bird! Look at the bird! If you are very keen you can learn what to call the bird so that you can properly thank it for the joy you feel when you see it. 🪶

I spent this week installing The Gentle Oraclebird in Los Angeles. It is so exciting to me to have a project that I've been re-inventing for almost six years now, and I am glad to do it in my own city! It is coming to the Fisher Museum of Art as part of the Scene Shift exhibition in February!

I forget if I’ve put this here yet, but here’s a little thing I posted on Twitter a while back to show people how I used to make sketchbooks out of stuff I dug out of people’s recycling bins when I was I was a fresh art school grad with no job and no money. It’s fun and kept the misery at bay.
