Olive's Hanukkah gift this year is a scratch off reveal of drawings of our adventures, and I am posting this here because it is a great last minute gift if you are an artist.

And here's Scorsese's storyboards for the final massacre in Taxi Driver

This applies more generally: people seem to think you need to have a background as a Big Two artist in order to do storyboards, but that's not what they're about - they're visual writing. You're writing for yourself AND others

what I want trans kids, queer kids, and gender nonconforming kids to know:

you are loved

you are so much more powerful than the ghouls using your healthcare as a political pawn, and you WILL outlive them (they know this, and it is why they're attacking you)

I usually renew my National Parks Pass in December anyway, but if you buy a 2025 pass this month, it is valid until the end of December 2026 and has a significantly more attractive Roseate Spoonbill.

Content moderation is also a job that is in large part outsourced overseas, and generally an entry level job that requires little to no tech expertise, and is in itself exploitative of workers that are exposed to abusive content for extremely low pay.
Holy shit.

Reuters reporting that new admin instructions on visas are if you worked at a platform in trust & safety or content moderation or on fact checking or online safety at an platform you *and your loved ones* are ineligible for H-1B visa.

he is so good!!

*technically did another of the first song for safety
Couple of my more recent songs got recorded at Bang Zoom! Studios when we had some spare time in Los Angeles!

Y'all I gave this graphic novel 5 stars and giving books 5 stars is not a thing I do very often at all.

It's really excellent.

You may not spot it on the shelf of your local indie but usually they can order for you and get it promptly.

I've talked about it before but the AIDS Quilt and the project of memorializing queer stories through tangible physical objects is fundamental to how I want to make art and the methods and mediums I choose. This is such a loving interactive digital archive, and I am so sad and glad for it.
“The National AIDS Memorial, through a partnership with the AIDS Quilt Touch team, presents all 50,000 panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt in an interactive experience so people around the world can experience the beauty of the Quilt and witness the love and stories stitched into each panel.”
