I have an entire game that is about suiting up for (an inevitably deadly) EVA, would be perfect for use with these lovely suits, and it is self-running. I wonder if it'd qualify.

Well *unapologetically* horrible anyway, it does not, in fact, apologize.

I like Salt & Glass a lot! it is truly, apologetically horrible.

The US granted visas to Jews but only allowed 30,000 in from Germany a year. You had to wait for your number to come up.

All the parts of being a GM that need to happen regardless of how you share them around. Who gets to initiate scenes, who gets to edit, who gets to define specific bits of the shared fiction. You can consolidate those into one role, share them universally, etc but you usually need them.

Come join us! It's a Hittite-flavored mashup of Archipelago III and Dogs in the Vineyard with some Desperation mixed in as a treat. Your dad might be a giant boulder and also a god. Maybe you'll fight an eagle-headed giant. Somebody will probably complain about property lines and water rights.
Parseler, Crusher, and Scut is a fantasy #TTRPG for 3-6 players that atomizes facilitation authority into three bite-sized roles that can get shared around in various ways! Now available via our Patreon! #games

Dropping an updated version of The Sentient Severed Arm just in time for the Indiecade Awards. You can still play the b&w prototype for free, but now you can also pay a little more to get the beautiful new updated version in full color.

Aaand it makes inconsistent attendance less of a big deal. Just shuffle around the roles the absent player would have filled. 3-6 is a healthy range for a tabletop group.

Aaand you can just pass the characters and roles around to try different stuff. Or if you want, play a tight four player game with a traditional GM handling all three guide roles, very easy.
January 15, 2026 at 4:48 PM
I think this will be a great format for people who want to learn/sharpen particular facilitation skills. You can exclusively focus on editing, for example, by choosing that guide role.

I'm working on a fantasy game called
'Parceler, Crusher, and Scut" that atomizes authority into three bite-sized roles that can get shared around in various ways. There are always three protagonists, but how you share responsibility is highly variable based on player count and preference.

I love how extreme climates also lead to solidarity, because even if I dont know you or even actively dislike you, if I don't help you you might actually die.

On a little D&D break so we played @jmstar.bsky.social’s Desperation: Dead House.

Whooooof it was good. Can’t wait to play it again on a weekend when we can really savour the setting and get into the teeth of dialogue.
