Hey all. I need help. Last year, my accountant made some grievous errors, like counting my entire rent as a deductible. It's decimated our savings— right before we needed them to renew my fiance's visa. If you can share this or donate 10 bucks, it would help us so much. Thank you

Just learning from @supertanskiiii.bsky.social (on Insta) about the scale of image based abuse taking place on X.com (and elsewhere). We have been working with a leading specialist org to bring legal action for victims. But I also want all men who care about women to call this out as unacceptable.

🧵I kinda feel like the intentional flattening of specific political discourse is high key hateful because people go literally out of their way to make it sound like folks who are more leftist than say, Obama, are somehow the ones who put a bullet in this country, like we can't read demographics.

Amazon and Google are not "popular" they are all but unavoidable monopolies
All I said was that Amazon and Google, specifically, are extremely popular so I don't think it makes sense to orient politics around hating those companies (à la Lina Khan).

How about we make rich people pay more taxes, use the revenue to bring down inflation and interest rates?
While it is not styled as such, indeed it precedes it, this is important retort by @joshtpm.bsky.social to this pathetic interference for big tech from Matt.

Ai isn’t popular, what these guys what to do to the world isn’t popular. And they’ve all stuck their necks into politics against democracy.

A group of clowns (Senators) have introduced a bill to FULLY REPEAL Section 230.

No reform, no replacement, just utter destruction of all online free speech.

We can't let this happen. Share & take action

I disagree, Larian is being made an example out of, it’s like putting a head on a pike. The message? “We don’t care if you made BG3. We will not forgive any use of AI”
ragging on a top game studio for using LLM placeholder text is maybe not the most efficient use of time with all the fires currently burning

You know who I feel really bad for? All the artists and designers at Larien. I’m sure some are credulous, but most of them are going to be a lot like me and my friends: artists who genuinely despise AI with every fiber of our being.

Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

NB: when he says "my view was divisive" he means "I got called out because my view is objectively wrong & wildly harmful to vulnerable people"

When he says "better evidence" he means "evidence that suits my prejudices". We already have good recent evidence from a major NHS review, which he ignores
Oops. Someone realising they said something rather unpopular is now desperately trying to change what they actually said

By my count there will only be one (1) trans character on all of the major networks and streaming services as of January 2026.
"According to the report, [...]during the 2024-25 television season, queer characters increased across platforms by 4%, bringing the total to 489. However, the Thursday report found that 41% of those characters will not return." www.thewrap.com/glaad-where-...

The "consensus" in 2010 was that our economy was on the verge of collapse, we were at the mercy of "bond vigilantes", & it would be crazy to borrow money at 0 interest rates. Instead the "consensus" was that we needed austerity.

That "consensus" was wrong & no-one has been held accountable.
