Ok this is important. A big myths
out there is that studies show masks don’t work. When you look at what the studies measured, what they actually show is masks don’t work *if you don’t wear them.* They didn’t measure the tool, they measured the wearers behavior. www.independent.co.uk/news/health/...

I went to New Orleans to see what it looks like when a great American city comes under siege from the government, as masked goons of 'Catahoula Crunch' lie about nabbing bad guys before swarming Home Depot, roofing jobs for folks with brown skin

An easy way to explain luddites:

Textile manufacturers brought in machines that could do in an hour what would have taken 12 hours by hand.

And then, tried to keep paying the now 12x more productive workers the same wages as before.

That's it, that was the problem luddites had. Not complex.

there’s a scene in the new documentary where Elizabeth Taylor is talking about the stigma of AIDS and how she got involved in the movement and it’s fucking everything

The 1% pay thousands on thousands for private insurance of all kinds to the detriment of the rest of society.

Investing in community is how we win.
every neoliberal policy analyst wants to "trim the fat" of society until the lean times come. community level resilience, redundancies, etc are good actually

My favorite type of apples are now $1.39 each 💀
Every time I get groceries I am admittedly amazed. The prices just keep climbing especially on the most random shit.

Like bell peppers. What the fuck man. Those shouldn’t be at the price they are now. What the actual hell?

If you are at risk of detention or not sure, exercise caution while traveling. Make a safety plan in case of detention and consult an immigration attorney.
