I said this before but Americans simply can not comprehend how much wealth there is. We constantly under project how much tax revenue we will raise from taxing the wealthy. The original estimate was $50 million.

Note you don't see the governor calling for health care for all. There was a bill this legislative session to help make that happen here in Washington. Dead now, of course, because elected officials (and right now, Dems are in charge) seem unwilling to make big swings.

One of my favorite things that I learned this past year was about the importance of Salmon to nutrient cycles in the PNW
Which, having grown up using “fish food” fertilized, should not have come as a surprise.
All that to say: restore salmon habitat, it’s good for our forests (and yes, #landback)

The Stillaguamish Tribe has been buying back ceded lands for floodplain restoration, benefiting salmon and nearby farmers.
“It is a bit of a bitter pill to swallow to buy back the land that we essentially traded for the resource, the fish, but it's what we have to do to get things back on track."

These are 19,000 people in a single state who now no longer have easy access to healthcare. What a barbaric way to order a society. Health care should be a human right.
We've already seen 19,000 fewer Washingtonians enroll in healthcare provided under the Affordable Care Act. That's just the start. Premiums are doubling or tripling for many.

I’m honestly curious if Waymo will actually follow the law.
I’m thinking about when I lived in Philly, and Uber just started operating illegally without following any cab laws (it’s how they beat the competition - breaking the laws that cab drivers had to follow).
