Your accounts on social media can be banned if someone misinterprets a photo as a death threat, but the billion dollar plagiarism machine is allowed to tell you to kill yourself in no uncertain terms.

Neat.

This article alone has 4 examples of ChatGPT encouraging young people to commit suicide, and OpenAI’s own public stats estimate over a million users discuss suicide with ChatGPT each week.

Democrats just ran the table, winning the marquee races -- NJ and VA sweeps, NYC mayor, CA prop, PA Supreme Court -- and lower-profile races in red and purple states across the nation.

If the media you're reading or watching paints this as anything but a massive win, stop reading or watching them.

Want to be in politics in the future? Take an acting class. Improv skills will help you a lot. You will need to be on camera a lot more than any previous generation of politician and performing on camera is (mostly) a learned skill that you can get better at with deliberate practice.

Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

Discursively I've always found it odd that people will recite "only Jewish state" to me as if it's meant to mean anything of substance. What is the relevance of this to a Palestinian? We are opposed to the occupation because the occupation is happening to us.

We are not Constitutionally BARRED from an expectation of privacy in public.

The Constitution, as courts have chosen to interpret it, simply does not ESTABLISH such an expectation.

There’s no reason we can’t create it via statute.

Digging into who they are is fine, but this piece overstates how unusual it is that they're not personally testifying, etc. Where the relevant standing is simply that they're affected voters, you'll have random plaintiffs with nothing else really particular to them. That part is totally normal.

This is a good catch. The statutory authorization supposedly being used to transfer R&D funds to regular payroll is, in fact, expired, just like the regular appropriations are also expired.
Not that Trump/Vought/Hegseth gaf, but among other ways in which the law says this may NOT be done:
A) The part of 8005 I've underlined in green says money transferred to another account is "available… for the same time period" as that other account; that other acc't expired on Sept 30.
