If he's been sitting on actual news about Butler instead of writing the story for a major credible outlet (that would pay him a shitload for it), then that would be a major scandal on top of whatever his story is.
The next Lizza piece is gonna be a doozy

I knew Wake Up Dead Man involved priests, but I was unprepared for how exhilaratingly Catholic it is.

UPDATE: Halfway through Season 4 of For All Mankind and while it's got a few rough spots, it's a significantly better show than S3. The black market on Mars is exceptionally well done, and Daniel Stern is helping me tolerate the earthside political maneuvering.
I realize I'm a few years late with this take, but I've almost finished 3 seasons of For All Mankind, and to this point it's a wildly entertaining space adventure and also rage-inducingly awful at virtually anything that's not "astronauts solving space problems".

There's an element of "can I think of an album that other people won't" here, but if we're being honest, you can't leave out my No. 1...

4 Tubthumping
3 Hello (Oasis)

Feel like this dovetails nicely with all the Literacy Discourse in recent weeks.
Pulling the most recent police log led me to once again see an incredible holiday decoration picture a cousin in Omaha sent me

Don't know if Campbell addressed Wizard of Oz, but I do know that in a previous life as hs English teacher, I used the final day of fall semester to show Finding Nemo in preparation for reading Huck Finn.

SFMTA could afford to fund a whole new bus line if they could enforce the Southbound J church transit-only lane near Market.

For an example that might be more visible for folks, see: baseball. At youth levels, shelling out exorbitantly for travel ball is functionally the only way to play competitively, and the minors barely pay a living wage, so the Americans who are reaching MLB tend to come from comfortable backgrounds.
This is one of those things that rarely gets talked about that has had a massive effect.

As fields like journalism, art, and academia were collapsed and living expenses skyrocketed they came to skew increasingly toward people whose families could afford to supplement their income.
If you're ever wondered why journalists seem so out of touch most of the time it's because in order to establish yourself you need to either come from money, marry into money, or be OK with abject poverty and daily financial panic

That third thing is unsustainable long-term

I see some book piracy discourse, and, to make a positive argument in favor of buying books, your marginal ability to influence what books get published and support the careers of writers you like is massive compared to most other forms of media.

Ender's Game, animated, across three movies.
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

Cheesecake the best pie imo.
Apple pie is bad. This is not really debatable. So is key lime pie, while we’re on the topic. Pecan pie is the 🐐 tho.

That's nice, and explains the solid return.
According to a major league source, the Cardinals are sending $20 million to the Red Sox in the deal -- so the Sox are on the hook for $15 million of Gray's salary, plus the $5 million buyout.

This isn’t a bad move but effectively salary dumping Rafael Devers and giving that money to Sonny Gray is very funny
@JeffPassan tweeted
The Boston Red Sox are acquiring right-hander Sonny Gray in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals, sources tell ESPN. Red Sox get the veteran who said he would waive his no-trade clause to leave. First on the news was @JonHeyman.

A fun thing is watching the second Wicked movie and coming away from it with questions about fundamental plot mechanics, but then seeing a bunch of people online performing their love for this movie and pointing out "Easter Eggs" that are like "and if you look closely, you see he has an AXE ;)"
