As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

Earnest post: there is increasingly direct evidence that Trump participated in child sex trafficking or at least knew about it.

He should resign, be impeached and removed from office, and prosecuted.

Even if you don’t think that WILL happen it’s important to say publicly that it SHOULD happen.

Many are calling for Chuck Schumer's resignation. What hasn't been reported until now is that any Senate Democrat can offer a motion to challenge his leadership position, and it would have to get a vote within 7 days. From @whitneycwimbish.bsky.social:

One Weird Trick to Get Rid of Chuck Schumer - The American Prospect
Multiple Democratic groups, House members, and candidates say it’s time for the Senate minority leader to go. It turns out any single Senate Democrat can force a vote on Schumer’s job.

I’m very interested in having Peggy Flanagan as my next Senator but I am flabbergasted by how much her campaign is throwing Al Franken in my face. No one cares about him anymore!

As others have mentioned, we now have the Cast Vote Record for the Minneapolis mayoral election. I'm going to be doing a good bit of digging into this, but I'll start with the big question: How would DeWayne Davis or Jazz Hampton have done in a final round against Jacob Frey?

Bob Kuttner's latest on the shutdown is brutal on the Senate Cave Caucus. He also has some reporting on the House, where nearly all Democrats will oppose this and maximize pressure on Mike Johnson to find the votes.

Democrats Get Rolled by Their Own - The American Prospect
Coming out of last Tuesday’s election blowout, the Democrats were riding high and unified. But on Sunday night, centrist Senate Democrats, with Chuck Schumer’s tacit encouragement, voted to reopen the...

Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

Either they go into total rebellion mode, which they won't, or the people will

This Day in Labor History: November 10, 1933. Workers at the Hormel plant in Austin, Minnesota sat down on the job. The win these workers achieved helped set up the labor militancy of the New Deal era that revolutionized the lives of American labor!!!!

Hi Minnesotan Bluesky:

The DFL has a well-known transphobia problem. I'm organizing to change the party platform in 2026 to be explicitly supportive of trans people in Minnesota. This will provide a basis for expelling transphobia from our party.

One year extension so if Dems regain Congress in ‘26 they can be blamed for the credits expiring.
Schumer: "After so many failed voters, it's clear we need to try something different"

"Thune just needs to add a clean, one-year extension" of the expiring ACA tax credits, then have a negotiation on changes to the credits

Republicans have repeatedly rejected adding subsidies to funding bill

Just horrific. These are crimes.

And let’s be clear — this is by design. They’ve been forthright about that. The aim is to make it migrants suffer so much that they give up their due process rights and leave voluntarily.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

As for the Charter Commission, they are actively working to further undermine the City Council, starting with removing one of their main checks and balances against the Mayor - their confirmation powers, drastically reducing the number of positions subject to confirmation.
