I see things like "but we have so much media that depicts Nazis as the bad guy" and I'm just sitting here thinking... I think we storytellers vastly overestimate how much fiction can influence people. Like stories are important but the message will be lost on many people.

With very few exceptions, Games as a Service is only a temporarily sustainable model in the AAA space. Stop trying to make them last forever and give them a lifecycle with a dedicated endpoint, which can accelerate based on subscriber churn. Have your next game in pre-production, and pivot early.

2024 currently has more known games industry layoffs than 2023+2022 combined.
2024 is roughly 600 layoffs away from doubling 2023. There is still plenty of business days left in the month.

As I get older, life seems to repeatedly re-affirm the lesson that nothing gets addressed or fixed for you. Hoping it does is like playing the lottery.
You really do (unfortunately) have to do / build it yourself. And mostly the process is neither easy nor fun.
