Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

"The edit was a mistake, it was clearly misjudged, but the idea it's an example of institutional bias against Trump is absurd."

@maitlis.bsky.social, @jonsopel1.bsky.social and @lewisgoodall.com unpack the seismic reaction to the BBC’s edit error - including Trump putting a target on their backs.

Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.

This research shows that there is more than one element of self-interest in trying to protect and grow biodiversity and natural environments. And research that aligns with parallel breakthroughs in the gut microbiome.

Interesting stuff.

New Paper Alert 🧵📣

There is a growing concern that the negative valence in climate stories paralyses consumers & perhaps even prevents them from taking pro-environmental actions.

However, we found that climate anxiety is a robust and universal driver of pro-climate behavioral intentions.👇

How is this repeatedly made into a policy issue - by *all* parties - when the blunt fact of the matter is that grown adults who are obliged to pay for their own education, and relentlessly pursued to repay their loans, should be able to study whatever the fuck they want.

But what is the best way to grow forests? Is it by planting new trees or by allowing trees to spread naturally, or a combination of both?

Never, ever post pictures of your children on social media. You do not own those pictures. Once you upload them, they are owned by the companies.

I am so glad I have never done this to my kid. Mainly out of respect to their autonomy. Even I didn't expect this level of degeneracy.

Our children are not safe with these people in charge. Yet many British people ally themselves with Trump, Reform etc. supposedly to protect young girls. It feels so deeply messed up.
Appalled to see this image of Donald Trump and the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein projected onto Windsor Castle.

Please... for the love of all that is good, do not share it on all your social media channels... because it simply wouldn't be done to remind the world of the association

Today, we say: They don’t speak for us — and they won’t have the last word.

This Wednesday we come together against Trump and for a better future. Do everything to be there.
