My daughter (not trans) uses her phone at school to study, revise in break times, text me when she feels unwell and the school won't do anything (she has a congenital spine condition), & watch videos in break time when she feels lonely. We manage online activity by talking about it with her.

You've lost me. Why is that a bad thing? It is the 101 of 'even people on a good wage can't afford to not skimp'.

There are awful things happening, but the fact that Reform has cancelled Christmas is such a delicious irony.

Disgusting and an absolute betrayal of everything people fought for in WW2 (which you people never believed in anyway).

Agree it'll have a massive impact, but perhaps more complex. On the one hand it made my freelance copywriting business a bit of a nightmare for a while; on the other, I'm getting requests and new clients again, because AI can't write (or it can, but it just sounds very glib and is often wrong).

I am so deeply shocked that the thing could have passed had a few Labour MPs not rebelled and @theguardian.com not reported on it. Total moral abdication on the part of @teamlabouruk.bsky.social to try and get MPs to abstain. They are destroying the Labour Party.
