Killamery • Kilkenny

This high cross is one of a series known as the Ossory Crosses.

Rather than Biblical depictions, they are elaborately decorated with panels of interlacing spirals, geometrical shapes, and large rounded bosses, possibly representing earlier metalwork.

A good way into listening to the audiobook of 'The Buffalo Hunter Hunter' by Stephen Graham Jones, and I think it might be the best audiobook I have ever heard.

Outstanding story, brilliantly told.

Just had whiplash listening to the radio.

They were playing Lovefool by the Cardigans, and they said it was THIRTY YEARS OLD

Bronze Age Complex at Kealkill • Cork

West Cork is one of the best places in Ireland to explore Bronze Age monuments thanks to its rich copper deposits.

This evocative example of a Bronze Age ritual landscape is hidden in the Maughanclea Hills at Kealkill.

For our first walk of 2026, we went with a family favourite at Carey's Castle just outside our hometown of Clonmel, Tipperary.

It's always a magical place to explore!

#ArcRaiders captures the nature of humanity better than any game I've played.

You meet some people who'll have a bit of craic, or even be helpful.

Others who'll attack you on sight, and some real rats who will pretend to be friendly only to murder and rob you right at the end.

Awesome game!

I'm very proud of what we're building with @tuatha.ie, and I'm so thankful for the community, and all the brilliant people who have worked with us on tours, talks and behind the scenes this year.

We've some big plans for the year ahead!
It’s been so great to see the Tuatha community grow over the past year!

Here's a short thread of some of what we've been up to:

This year has seen the production of twelve brand new itineraries, helping you to explore landscapes like the Ards Peninsula, Galway, the Fermanagh Lakelands, and more.

I've been so fortunate to visit on a number of occasions, but Skellig Michael is always near the top of my list of places to visit in Ireland!

The combination of the early medieval monastery, otherworldly scenery, and puffins make it a paradise to me.

What is your dream site to visit this year?

Twilight falls on Kilcooley Abbey, Tipperary.

Kilcooley is one of Ireland’s finest medieval Cistercian abbeys and is a wonderful example of the Gothic architectural style.

It was founded in 1182 after a grant of land to the Cistercians by Domnall Mór Ua Briain King of Thomond

Kilclooney Dolmen • Donegal

One of Ireland's finest examples of a portal tomb, Kilclooney Dolmen is situated close to a number of other Neolithic monuments, suggesting this part of Donegal was an important landscape to Ireland's first farmers.

So our 3 year old shoved the fridge door so hard it snapped off the hinges yesterday, and now it barely closes.

When it is absolutely jammed with Christmas food, too.
