Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

The Israelis are genuinely not used to their relationship with the Anglosphere, and in particular the United States, being in any way contingent upon their treatment of the Palestinians. They do not know how to process that it will increasingly be the case and in all likelihood will just go crazier.
You can't rebrand until you actually change the reality on the ground. It's bizarre that some people (on a variety of topics) don't seem to recognize this.
Full text of the Erdan post here. They are increasingly realizing that US-Israel relations are due for a change. I think they will struggle with the "rebrand" inasmuch as "younger" and "minority" Americans have protest repression in recent memory.

Given the extremely absurd accusations of antisemitism in the other screenshots in this thread, worth noting that the “argument” they’re all referencing is whether or not Fuentes and his explicit call for eradicating American Jews can be accepted as a wing of their movement.
Love this for everyone involved

1. There are three very important constraints on tonight's Mamdani victory you have to keep in mind when we're looking at what he's going to be able to do in office (taking him in good faith as someone who wants to make life better for people and discounting Trump).

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

This shows up in how even cis gay people are oppressed, too—the most feminine gay men and masculine lesbian women tend to be the most targeted by anti-gay violence and rhetoric, because it isn't just about being gay in a void, but being in friction with gender norms.

This is also why I reject defining the political core of "queerness" as "same-sex activity."

That political core is actually deviation from the standardized male-female system, with its accompanying sexual ecosystem.

NEW: Footage of a US citizen in Chicago being rammed then dragged from her car on her way to work.

Abducted, with no warrant, her family couldn’t find her for hours.

She was later released with NO CHARGE.

A DHS statement said she “violently resisted arrest, injuring two officers”.

The classic refute to “listening to the marginalized means deferring to the last person of that marginalization who spoke” is that it supplies no way to deal with disagreement between people of the same marginalization.

That alone should highlight the problem here.

This pattern speaks so deeply to the immaturity of most social justice ethics, in that the unspoken reason for “listen to the marginalized” is “because it will let you be right” rather than “because they deserve to be heard and usually aren’t.”

It’s about humanization, not winning an argument.
People want identity shortcuts for "who is worth listening to" and "which ideas are correct" and I implore you all to abandon that impulse, because that's not the world we live in.

Listen to the marginalized because our voices are erased, but also... think. Judge by word and deed.

the strongest way israel can legitimise itself permanently is by ceasing to oppress the palestinian people in all forms, which is why it's quite weird to see alleged liberal zionists focus on literally anything other than that

Last thing I forgot, I promise!

Defensively shutting down over a call-out replicates the shitty power dynamics you think you’re fighting.

Black folks tiptoe around white feelings; women bend over backwards to not upset men.

REPEAT

REMEMBER

Ego is the antithesis and enemy of solidarity.
Forgot to add: expect to get called out when you fuck up, and view it for what it is: an act of love, not an attack.

Defensiveness instinct (to avoid shame) signals ego “I” attachment vs. higher “we” commitment: the collective good.

Instead:

Reflect.
Recalibrate.
Grow.

I go to a 6 am gym class and on my way back there were folks already lined up outside our local food pantry. Four people who looked in their 70s — among them a man listening to the radio about the Mets. They pushed carts ahead of them.
I just don’t think we’re freaking out enough about this SNAP cut. I have spent my whole career working with people who rely on SNAP for food. People who work multiple jobs. Who have kids. What do you think happens when 1/8th of the population can’t buy food anymore? Everything is going to collapse.

Republicans are doing push polls saying that Nazi tattoos are “anti-Israel,” with the goal of polarizing the country between one coalition that thinks “fighting antisemitism” means deporting college students and the other that dismisses allegations of antisemitism entirely. That’s their goal.
btw there's that NRSC poll floating around that says voters are more likely to support Platner after hearing about his tattoo

here's how the question was phrased lol
