I’m a wildlife biologist with most of my experience involving the study and conservation of protected non-game species.
Broadly interested in how species adapt to multisensory pollution (light + sound) in coupled natural-human systems to persist on our very bright and noisy landscapes!

UPDATE: A spokesperson for the NPS told me that the agency and the DOJ are pursuing administrative action against several Yosemite employees and possible criminal charges against several park visitors over displays on El Capitan since 2024.
NEW: I spoke to SJ Joslin, a park ranger and wildlife biologist who was fired by Yosemite National Park last week for helping to raise a transgender pride flag on the park's iconic El Capitan rock face.

Salmon don't need any more problems, but African Clawed Frogs might be a new one. Our newly-published experiment shows that these frogs easily chow down on eggs, alevin, and fry from multiple salmon species
