I, too, love tofu.

One of the things about getting old that sucks is losing the ability to see detail without enough light.

All the gorgeous rpg dice activate my dragon heart, but I know from experience that outside of perfect conditions and high contrast ink, I won’t be able to read the roll.

And still I yearn.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

The fact that I have now seen three different styles of Ozymandias riff memes this week delights me so much.
i like
big
trunks and i cannot lie
you other travelers can't deny
that when a shattered visage lies in the sand
with a sneer of cold command
you get sprung
from the passions read
from a hand mocked and heart fed
that pedestal tried to warn me
but "look upon my works" makes (me-me-me so horny)
Some traveller once told me
He's from a land so old he
Saw a pair of vast and trunkless legs
Near them on the sand
An expression of command
The sneering visage on a half-sunk head
Well the years start coming and they don't stop coming
Lone level sands to horizon running

An obnoxious co-worker used to whistle in his office—sadly next door to mine. It only intensified my general dislike of the sound (and him, to be perfectly honest).

The exception to the rule will always be this magnificent fellow.

popular anti-fascism as taxpayer revolt...might have some legs
Question for Mike Flood: With $450 million being allocated to Alligator Alcatraz, and ICE burning through $8.4 million a day to illegally detain people—How much does it cost for fascism? How much do the tax payers have to pay for a fascist country?

Reagan is a prime example of why saying "it's only 4/8 years" is bullshit. Reagan has been f*cking the country for over 40 years & from beyond the grave.
once again I have to invoke the specter of Ronald Wilson Reagan, who is in Hell now. under Reagan, the term "government spending" was effectively demonized. fuck you, Reaganite ghouls! spending money, on its people and their needs, is the function of government! public works are good! say so!
