The Hidden Politics of the Crossword Puzzle
Take it from me: A crossword clue can be debated with the kind of fervor normally reserved for corporatist propaganda and outright racism.

I heard this in the moment and frankly thought Trump said "Peggy" and assumed there was a reporter there with that name. A completely shocking comment.

Sir, this is a McDonald’s.
Trump is ranting barely coherently to McDonald's franchise owners: "The one pilot said, 'skedaddle!' And that thing just turned on its side -- pppph. And it's so unbelievable. And that knocked out Iran nuclear capability."

Look, I know this weaponization of male academic interest is the oldest story in the book, but it’s just so, so pernicious. It’s awful to the women directly involved, but it’s also awful to *all* women in the academy, who have to live in its shadow all the time.

I am honestly a little shocked that I haven't heard more pundits and interview subjects pointing back to the Trump/Miss Teen USA stuff from 2016, in light of all the once-again-increased Epstein scrutiny. I mean, it's right there. www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Stop me if you've heard this before:

If the NYT still had a public editor, that person would have official standing to ask, WTF???

They axed the public editor. So it's up to the rest of us to ask, unofficially, WTF???
To recap: Jeffrey Epstein offered a NY Times reporter photos taken in Epstein's kitchen of Donald Trump and girls in bikinis *and* implored the NYT reporter to put this information in the public discourse in 2015

What did the NY Times editors know about this offer?

One of the biggest problems in the US right now, and an aggravator of every other problem, is that most news outlets are owned by right wing billionaires who approve of Trump's fascism.
People fucking hate this guy. They fucking hate ICE. They fucking hate how much power he has. He is at 63% overall disapproval to 37% approval. That's lower than their poll after January 6th. And this poll was done before he started intentionally starving people. I wish our media would reflect this.

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

Teen Vogue has had more guts to dissect and expose the truth when so many veteran media outlets have bent their knees to a criminal despot and his regime and this news is absolutely appalling and unacceptable
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

She was a fearless journalist who reported on AIDS in the 80s (when Reagan was ignoring it), lifted up the LGBTQ community, & rooted out corruption.

We’re living through Trump’s conversion of the presidency into a global business operation—one in which family enrichment drives national policy. Foreign influence. Secret deals. Cryptocurrency grifts. Worse than just corruption, this is a blueprint for authoritarian kleptocracy.

The question isn’t whether he should be impeached, convicted, and removed from office but whether Republicans have the guts to do their job.
