Still incredible that centrist democrats thought the great strategic position was aligning themselves with pedophiles and criminals over aligning themselves with normal middle class Americans who can't afford to pay for healthcare.

It's hard to express what it meant to watch Maurice, Natalia, Celeste, and Rhea tell their stories—in their own voices—this morning.

The segment revealed a brutal reality: homelessness at this scale isn't about personal failure. It's the result of policy choices and systems built to exploit people.

From the outside looking in, the whole idea of presidential pardons seems like an affront to the little democracy there is. You say 'no kings' but the UK has a king, and there'd be uproar if he had the power to override the law courts in this manner.

I can really tell you didn’t grow up on Internet forums if you’re shocked and indignant about “sometimes even human moderators make capricious and inscrutable decisions that you don’t like”

I’m going to be honest with you: The headline is appalling, but the piece, which indeed has an absolutely bizarre tone of nostalgia, is worse.

To blame for having better taste.

See millennials killed Applebees etc.

Try to list a single billionaire criminal who was held accountable who didn’t rob a richer billionaire.

See it’s impossible.

Just feels like if your brain is leaking out of your head you probably shouldn’t be a senator or in government etc.

Anyway Fetterman still is here apparently.

NEW: During a Vatican audience, a prominent same-sex couple told Pope Leo XIV they were married.

The pope responded with overwhelming kindness — and a conversation about the day’s Wordle.

This quiet moment may signal something bigger: the kind of Church Pope Leo intends to build.
Pope Leo Meets Prominent Married Gay Couple — And Talks Wordle
The story of Brian and Alex is more than a Wordle moment. It’s a sign of the Church Pope Leo is building.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the only time rich people are held accountable is when they steal money from richer people than themselves.
So many vulnerable people were hurt, harassed and raped by these ghouls and now—I’m worried—it’s gonna become hehe haha lurid internet circus instead of a long overdue moral reckoning. I’m scared of who we all are becoming. That man has brought us ALL low.

I dream of a day when corporations have to reapply for every tax break, contract, and grant every six months, with a requirement that it is the CEO who must complete the paperwork, and attest under penalty of law that they personally did so.
The shutdown was an excuse, not a reason, to go after SNAP.

SNAP recipients have to re-apply either every 6 months or year. Onerous process, with almost no fraud.

There are no shutdown-related requirement for SNAP renewal. But it would predictably result in low-income families going hungry.
Brooke Rollins says on Newsmax SNAP participants will have to re-apply for the program.

Details are still unclear.

I'm trying to imagine for a second if Olivia Nuzzi was not a conventionally attractive rich white woman.

This is so insane in like 6,000 ways. She's not a journalist - she's a clown.
what the actual fuck

I would pay Google probably $10-$20 a month for Gmail without ads. Pls make this happen thanks.

The odds of the US having both air and naval supremacy in 50 years is by no means a foregone conclusion.

Part of how AI and simply bad policy has made the internet worse is that I don't believe most fundraisers that say they are for someone in Gaza. So much of it feels fake. Obviously there are safe ways to give, but the fact that a lot of it feels questionable -- it ain't great.
