The US government is now freely killing people at sea, in other lands, and on its own streets.

It is difficult to see what more is needed for Congress and the Supreme Court to exercise their constitutional duty to check and balance what is now a rogue state abroad and a gangster state at home.

"We train our officers to repeatedly shoot unarmed women in the face on the basis of nothing" isn't the win you think it is. You fash fucking cunt.
Noem on Mayor Frey: "He doesn't know what he's talking out. It's very clear that this individual was harassing and impeding law enforcement operations. This officer followed his training, did exactly what he's been taught to do in that situation."

So my holiday "apartment with swimming pool" does indeed have a pool. But I was told when I checked in last night that it was out of service for the winter. The pool was one of the key reasons for picking this place, so I am somewhat miffed

This wheel is to the boy squirrel the way that the football is to Charlie Brown and it still makes me laugh every time he tries to use it only to be immediately spun.

Things you do not want to hear when arriving at your holiday flat: "The pool has been drained for maintenance as its winter and no-one wants to use it at this time of year" ... umm.... actually... the pool is a big reason I booked this place.

My flat in Fuertevntura has a TV with multiple streaming services. The language is set to Spanish (unsurpringly) & the settings menu appears to be locked so that I cannot access the language settings. I can stream BBC in Spanish, but not English and my Spanish is not as good as it should be.

Today is epiphany, which is usually a really big deal in the Canary Islands. I expected everything to be closed and the usual celebrations to be going on this evening. Instead there are just crickets in Fuerteventura. I'm told they celevrated it yesterday. I am confused.

Dear Ryanair, I'm aware that you will only allow bagdrop <2 hours before flight departure. I also recall the awful security queues last time I flew with you & that I just caught my plane due to the bag drop limit. Your email today asks me to arrive 1 hour earlier. Have you told your bag drop police?

Hello all in/near #Cambridge, does anyone ( @camcycle.bsky.social ?) know if the DNA path has defrosted properly today? Wondering if it's going to be safe for getting to school in the morning, or if we need to go round via Shelford/Cambridge road.

My next week in pictures.

Meanwhile Ryanair emailed this morning to tell me to turn up an hour early due to long queues at airport security. Not looking forward to the journey.

Remarkable statement from the Prime Minister of Denmark, directed at President Trump:

“I therefore strongly urge the United States to cease its threats against a historically close ally, and against another country and another people who have stated very clearly that they are not for sale.”

Once again I am frustrated with my local library who have some, but not all, the audiobooks in a series. This time they are missing The Long Mars from the Long Earth series, but have all the other books.

Me: I need to lose weight because diabetes.

Also me: Can I just make oven chips for dinner because cooking them is easy? And beer, I like beer.

This is me, above the NICE guideline threshold for weight loss jabs, yet below the threshold for my local NHS policy guidelines on the same jabs.
