While I'm asking for the impossible: can someone invent a carpet which doesn't make the room look dark but doesn't show marks and is made of a sustainable material that is soft to walk on but whose fibres don't felt together if you try and rub it clean? Oh bollocks, Matthew's going to be so cross with me. I thought his dentist appointment wouldn't mess up his attendance record at school because it was authorised, but no. Less than an hour late into school and he's now lost the 100% attendance which *he* valued, because the school makes a fuss. :(

A light frost this morning. Can only apologise to the people stuck behind me on the bike path when we got to a more frosty bit and I went *very slow* - it seems I am still feeling extra cautious after last Thursday's bump. Epic bruise on my thigh still has a bump in the middle too.
