Trans rights are human rights.

Not age verified: can't read DMs!
I have loads of nostalgia for them growing up: but yeah, ban 'em.

Obrigada!

TIL: Angola is 8 days older than I am!

They do seem to have tailed off! (We'd stopped bothering, as while they person doing the bags does everyone the van collecting often doesn't bother to come to the bottom of our cul-de-sac!) Matthew's primary school was still doing this scheme in 2024:

Which I see is point 5 of the article - that the rag trade makes less money than it used to, and things might even cost money to dispose of. I guess I'll have to ask my charity shop about that!

I always assumed that anything they can't sell goes to the rag trade by weight and would at least make them a bit of money that way. Perhaps that's not true if it has so fibre-type label?

I know what you mean!

That is so pretty I have added it to my wishlist, even though it looks on the edges of my skill level too. I mean I can probably do all the stitches eventually!

Agreed.

I'm really really really hoping that over time we get to a point where the default legal advice is no longer the appalling "if you include trans people you will be sued by gender critical people, it's not worth it".

I think non-tree fairy lights could go up early just for a bit of winter cheer? But year, we're usually the weekend before Christmas if only to be sure the tree won't disintegrate before 12th night!

And did it happen at the same time conkers stopped scaring off spiders? (They don't work on slugs either).

I have an iron. I used it recently on a creased paint-by-numbers canvas. Previous to that I slightly melted a rug which said you could iron the creases out, and I've done those peg-board bead pictures for my kid. Actual clothes? Erm?

"Glad" to hear this isn't just a problem with women's clothing. I'm still miffed that my Madison waterproof trousers are a bit too big on the waist, when I bought them based on the fact the size chart said it was the right waist size!

Oh god, anyone who tries to tell me I'm wrong for calling *myself* cis can fuck right off.

Decided trans women are no longer eligible for their annual 100 Women in Cycling awards.

Oh god no, you have to strip practically naked to wee. Sorry! If I couldn't reach round the back to zip/unzip it I'd need to take a friend too. It's gorgeous and very very purple and completely impractical. (But it's totally a party dress).

One with a lovely round door and nice furniture and lots of cake?
November 10, 2025 at 12:31 PM
Actually I have just realised that this year I have bought 2 party dresses and a jumpsuit (which is clearly functionally a dress), and *none* of them have pockets. But they did make me happy.
