You know they used to have audiences watching grizzly dissections; gazing on in bewildered silence as they sliced up a cadaver. Well, it was like that.

Watching now. It’s staggeringly bad.

I’d love to hear the original studio audience recording.

If you’ve got Disney+ (in UK) I recommend English Teacher. US sitcom. Funny. ✅

Never been a huge fan of ghost stories, but just heard a great programme on Radio 4 this afternoon, "Ghost Stories for Christmas with the London Symphony Orchestra". It was fantastic! Well worth a listen in this weird time between Christmas and New Year.
BBC Radio 4 - Ghost Stories for Christmas with the BBC Symphony Orchestra
A special concert of stories and music saluting 'things that go bump in the night'.

It’s a bumper day for the announcers’ log, today. Two accidental radiations in two hours! Oops.

(This will mean nothing to virtually anyone)

This is on Radio 4, now. It’s really good.

I’ll post a link after the broadcast.

will also add - yes, this is my personal crusade - that turning podcasts into videos implicitly asks women to once again make more effort than men, as the bar for "camera-ready" for one gender is obviously higher than for the other

“Visualisation” (ugh) of audio isn’t limited to podcasts. There’s a topical Radio 4 comedy show which regularly features an apparently hilarious “bit” to the studio audience and (presumably) the social media viewers it’s aimed at which is entirely meaningless to its listeners. It’s heartbreaking.

Instead of watching a panel show in which a man who has been credibly accused of multiple cases of sexual harassment does nazi salutes, you can simply watch Horrible Science on iplayer for free, which has great comedy, interesting facts about dinosaurs and space & no nazi salutes x

"Give it a rest" posted podcaster Connor Tomlinson at 3.15pm on Christmas Day about the King's message

Tomlinson advocates bamning all British citizens who are Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh or Buddhist from parliament & civil service, along with ethnic minorities who lack white British ancestors.

No amount of Today programme PR will change my opinion of James Dyson. Entire show has been old fashioned privileged Brexit tinged, British exceptionalism bullshit. #R4Today
