This thread is great, so I will offer you a similar story about a guy I used to play football with who also only had one eye.
He would play at right-back because it meant he could see the whole pitch with his good eye, without his nose obscuring some of the view.

Fun fact: this version of the Dier-murdering-Ramos gif is a many, many times duplicated iphone recording of our TV. It's possibly still my favourite moment in football history, so I'm delighted our old telly has a part in it's ongoing dissemination.
