That's not the MN State flag anymore.
A major reason for the change was specifically blatant racist, anti-Indigenous imagery.
It is a specific choice to use this flag.
Minority extremists use the old flag as a dog whistle.
The Vice President is prominently dog whistling.

There is going to come a time in your life when you are chatting with a guy, at a barbecue or something, a new coworker maybe, a dad at school drop off, and he tells you he used to be in ICE. You’re going to need to spit on that guy
Minnesota: "School officials say the [5-year-old] child was used as bait. They say [ICE] agents made little Liam knock on the door to ask to be let in in order to see if anyone else was home."

“Abolish ICE” isn’t enough. We need prosecutions or this will happen again
New in PN: Kristi Noem's assault on the Fourth Amendment

"The Department of Homeland Security deliberately confuses reasonable suspicion and probable cause in hopes that no one will notice that ICE and CBP are making illegal arrests as standard operating procedure."

Even after Trump is gone, the world will remember that he threatened to forcibly seize the territory of a peaceful democratic ally, and our institutions failed to immediately remove him. That makes US dangerously unreliable, not just one senile gangster.
His not being impeached by the end of the business day as a result of this threat is as much a problem as the threat itself. It’s not just Trump that the world has to worry about, it’s a GOP that supports him and Democrats who suck their thumbs and refuse to even discuss pushing to remove him

The Democratic leaders in Congress have repeatedly shown that they have no interest in leading an effective opposition.

They have no appetite for the legislative trench warfare this moment requires. They don't even have the will to speak about it clearly. They just want to be left alone.
We have to get rid of Jeffries and Schumer. We have to. It’s unendurable that these men are the most prominent Democrats of the moment. They are two of the most broadly undistinguished men I could imagine in politics, zero fire, zero fight, zero zeal, machine politicians with sinecures.

That whole run was magical - the team kept falling behind in tough series and then figuring out game-breaking adjustments - but winning the whole thing didn’t seem like it could possibly be real until it happened
Watching the Warriors win the 2015 Finals at a crappy dive bar with @rdnarang.bsky.social was genuinely one of the top 5 moments of my life
In this ep Spencer has a bit about how it feels when your team finally gets over the top that really hit for me. Georgia’s 2021 title is the only time I ever saw my dad cry. Every time a team in any sport has gotten their first one since then, I just feel this overwhelming warmth for their fans

Attn news commentators: Trump saying he could use force to obtain Greenland but won’t is not Trump saying he won’t use force to obtain Greenland. It is Trump using force as a threat to obtain Greenland. That is why he mentions it.

Conservatives, after all, consistently win elections with their disciplined focus on dull kitchen-table concerns and scrupulous avoidance of distracting rhetoric about atrocities, scandals, and malfeasance.
Bad news folks: Schumer is entirely correct here. Americans outside Minnesota care far more about these five things than they care about anything happening in Minneapolis
NEW: In this interview, Chuck Schumer describes the "five buckets" Dems think are key to their possibly winning a Senate majority in 2026: housing, "the high price of food [and] food monopolies playing a major role there," electricity, "the high cost of childcare," and health care.

Immigration officers are caught on video violating policy, training, and settled law pretty much every day. The administration just cheers them on. What makes anyone think they're going to implement any of these "guardrails?" They think de-escalation is woke.

This is just giving them more money.
Other aspects:
-de-escalation training for ICE and CBP officers
-training all law officers and agents, on Americans’ right to record any interactions.
-Provides line-item funding ($20 million) for mandated, independent oversight of detention facilities

Lehigh County Executive Josh Siegel’s announcement to evict the ICE agents came shortly after the county’s financial watchdog revealed the agency owes more than $115,000 in rent.

Mamdani is a political genius for understanding the largest problem he can address for his constituency is affordability.

Schumer is a political fool for insisting the largest problem he can address for his constituency is affordability.

This isn't the gotcha moment you're phrasing it as.
The pivot from "Mamdani is a political genius for focusing his message almost entirely on affordability" to "Schumer is a political moron for focusing his message almost entirely on affordability" is odd.

Whenever you see someone say "all it takes is a few Republicans to break with Trump" it's worth noting that even a retiring Senator who Trump openly hates cannot straightforwardly criticize him, even as he becomes increasingly unpopular. Republicans love Trump and we shouldn't pretend otherwise.

Literally everyone who even vaguely knew what a tariff was said this when they were introduced! You don’t need a team of economists to analyze the situation — no one who lives in reality was confused by this!
“Foreign exporters absorbed only 4% of last year’s U.S. tariff increases by lowering prices, while American consumers and importers absorbed 96%.

“Rather than acting as a tax on foreign producers, the tariffs functioned as a consumption tax on Americans.”

Honestly boycotting the World Cup would be the most effective and probably the least disruptive of all of the options available to Europe. I’m not sure how you can send teams and fans to contribute to a spectacle designed entirely to celebrate a guy trying to invade your territory.

it’s beautiful that they’ve been proven incredibly wrong about that - may the rest of the country do the same.
