Social services attorney on the Jersey side of the Philly suburbs; law, history, gardening 😉🌬 and trading cards. MLB: Tigers/Phillies; NFL: Giants; NBA: 90s. @jpesq_ and @esqgranny on that other site and I'm too tired to maintain two accounts anymore.

Barring an unlikely trade, I'm totally looking forward to seeing these guys + Max Clark together in Detroit next year 💪

Is it baseball season yet?
Man, what I would give for it to be summer right now.

Call me old-fashioned, but I still think there's nothing better than watching baseball on a warm summer's twilight.

Nothing says "self-described 'small government conservative'" like purposefully destroying a multi-billion dollar private industry.

Very laissez-faire of them.
The bill to end the government shutdown will ban hemp-derived THC products. This is insane and wrong.
The ban will go into effect one year after the bill's passage. Industry stakeholders project that this measure could decimate the estimated $28 billion hemp industry and result in significant job

And perhaps most importantly...

I CAN ERASE THE THREE-WEEK TRIAL BEGINNING IN DECEMBER FROM MY CALENDAR
On the one hand, I was supposed to leave 40 minutes ago.

On the other hand, this mediation just reached a 7-figure settlement for my clients! #lawsky

Is ending up with a sombrero on your head a common saying in Louisiana and/or the American South as a whole?
Sen. John Kennedy on Epstein: "I just don't think this issue is gonna go away until it's addressed and answered to the American people's satisfaction. And I may end up with a Sombrero on my head for saying that, but that's the way I see it."

The data's so unbelievably good that nobody would would ever believe it if they released the data, so what's even the point in releasing the data?

Maybe we, as a society, can just stop excusing horrific behavior by powerful people who believe they're above the law?

Just a thought while I remember the halcyon days of my youth when the prevailing opinion was that pedophilia and Nazism are bad things.

Well it seems to me that the only way to clear the President's name now is if he fulfills a campaign promise and releases the files in their entirety 🤷‍♂️

I just got notice of a hearing, and I hope "I'm leading a training of [my agency's] social work staff regarding end-of-life medical decision making, and this appointment cannot be moved" is good enough reason for a ready hold or adjournment over my pro se opponent's objection🤞 #lawsky

Well yeah, small government conservatives like today's Republican Party totally get to decide which industries to shut down, and it's for sure not going to be their donors.

The continuing resolution that would re-open the government also includes a provision to close a loophole in the 2018 farm bill, which allowed the sales of CBD products across the country and sparked a hemp industry. (via @lpm.org)

Hot take: he probably deserved it this year, but AJ Hinch should have won the award last year.

This classic Rockies cap belonged to my grandfather. I never saw him without it, which was a bit odd since he'd lived his entire life in New Jersey.

Other than when he dropped out of high school, joined the Army, and served in the Pacific Theater, that is.

Happy Veteran's Day.

Those must be the concepts of a plan Trump said he had at the debate.

I'm so, so tired of living in this god forsaken timeline.

Yeah I'm a fan, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong when I say he totally belongs in the Hall of Fame. It's a travesty that he was only on the ballot once.

I do, however, wish he'd signed this cap with something other than a black sharpie because it's kinda hard to see...
