The Massachusetts church in question here is Saint Susanna Parish in Dedham, Massachusetts, and the "ICE was here" sign comes from their reverend, Rev. Stephen Josoma.

It's not enough for AltNPS to not cite a source. They can't even give the reverend himself the credit he deserves!

So things like this have been on the runway for at least 2 years. It's just finally getting turned on.
But the industry has been planning on the AI lines for quite some time. Now they can just bring those online and take the current ones down for retooling without a drop in production.
This is like if Tyson stopped selling consumer chicken. RAM is about to cost as much as a brand new pc. The cost of everything from tablets, to phones, to laptops will skyrocket. All because AI data centers are consuming all the available RAM they can get.

Crucial memory will soon be a memory itself as Micron abandons consumers in favor of AI data centers
The RAM crisis is just getting started.

This is reminding me of the time I got people mad at me for saying the luddites were a labor movement.

I don't know what kind of pilled those people were on, but the pill I needed was certainly Excedrin for that one.
An easy way to explain luddites:

Textile manufacturers brought in machines that could do in an hour what would have taken 12 hours by hand.

And then, tried to keep paying the now 12x more productive workers the same wages as before.

That's it, that was the problem luddites had. Not complex.

My robot vacuum uses lidar.
Lidar stopped being prohibitively expensive 5 years ago but Elon kept lying about it because he made a bad decision and people refuse to stop repeating the lie.

I need to stop reading articles (and comments, like a moron) on the DDR5 shortage because the amount of conspiracy-pilled capitalism-brainrot is making my head hurt.

No, they're not jacking up the prices just to target you specifically. It's because of how the semiconductor industry is structured.

The ENTIRE REASON I prefer podcasts is because they allow me to divert visual attention ANYWHERE ELSE.

I'm bad enough at consuming media with a heavy visual component let me have this for the love of the little green apples
*banging a metal pot with a wooden spoon very loudly*

people want to LISTEN to podcasts!!!!!!!!!!!!

You misspelled the word "child" there.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

The only thing I've found I'm grateful to K-8 Catholic school education for, well into my adulthood, is how relentlessly they drilled phonics and grammar. "English" and "Reading" were two separate subjects into 8th grade.

Nearly crippled my math education, but by god could I read and write.
ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

pre-writing a devastating obituary for your enemy is god-tier hating of a kind you don’t often see anymore. renaissance haterism. beautiful stuff.
A Sharon Begley byline, almost 5 years after her death.

Upon hearing the news James Watson had died, a STAT reporter said in our Slack, "I wish I could read what Sharon would have written."

Incredible news: Sharon in fact did pre-write a Watson obit. And it is masterful and excoriating.
