Progressive just trying to make the world a better place. Who’s with me? In Vietnam until current Admin killed my project. (Permanent residence in Denver.)

Love sports, exploring countries and cultures, the outdoors. Plus platforms to waste precious time!
As I watched it I thought they should go for it. (I didn’t like going for the huge play downfield) The FG was useless. (And like it says if missed GB has great field position). Punt and likely into end zone, only gaining 20 yards. (And possible block) Going for it was sound and could end the game.

Folks. My tour of #Ireland continues with wonder and amazement. Yesterday I hiked up Diamond Hill in #Connemara National Park. Jaw dropping. But you need to hike up and stand on the top to fully experience the majesty. #hiking

This entire article points out that there is no plan. His own Treasury Secretary says he doesn’t know anything about it. So why does media keep running these kind of headlines? He keeps making these Truth Social posts and media keeps running stories as if it is something real.

It’s important to achieve bipartisanship with Republicans so they can arrest Barack Obama for something they read on the Epoch Times’ Facebook page written by a Chinese cult member in 2019.
Breaking MSNBC:

The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida called a division-wide meeting this afternoon, following the resignations of two prosecutors who were asked to take part in a vast "conspiracy" investigation into former intel and law enforcement officials.

Verdun in 5 minutes.

Insanely hard to condense the longest battle of WWI into a short video, but here’s my first attempt.

300 days and 300 nights

Unimaginable cost and hardship

Hope I did it justice.

Great thread by one of the smartest Congress-watchers out there ...
Some thoughts on the CR/minibus.

1 The Dems negotiating with Rs were not freelancing. They coordinated with Sen Schumer. A few were ready to give in on day one, others worked to maximize appropriations wins.

Those voting for the 'deal' are the ones furthest away from electoral consequences.

Shaheen: "All those people who oppose this agreement -- staying in a shutdown mode was not getting us anywhere. They need to train their fire on the people who are responsible. That's Trump, Johnson, & the Republicans who have blocked every attempt to get healthcare. We need to be working together."

The centrists in the Senate Democratic caucus saw that the country was rallying to the party in the 2025 elections and resolved that they would do anything they could to kill that momentum.

AHHHHH I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED SOMEONE TO DO THIS STORY
On Friday, Mick Fleetwood surprised fans by playing “Tusk” with the Trojan Marching Band. But Dr. Bartner, the 85-year-old band director who helped bring it to life and earned USC two platinum, albums also surprised Mick. Inside the very L.A. story of the iconic “Tusk.”

They decided to negotiate, pay the ransom, and allow the terrorists to execute the hostages.
So they decided to negotiate with the terrorists who are holding Americans hostage?

Yes. Why can’t we just work together? (Sorry. What complete eejits. And collaborators)

seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

So Democrats get:

1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays

2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail

3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts

Those all seem like wins for the GOP.
