Ring of Fire is out now! It’s like the Guns of August for a new generation: the opening weeks of WW1 through the eyes of ordinary men, women and children. And not just in Western Europe, but across the globe. It was bloody, terrifying and neutrality was a sham… geni.us/RingOfFire
Such a handsome family. No doubt obliterated in mind if not in body a few years later in #WW1

Because I smashed the Tudors last weekend, I’m being nice. If you’re going to listen to anyone talk about that heinous mob, pick Nathan, and @estelleprnq.bsky.social
Sitting in a pub looking to complete my new talk on the Propaganda of Henry VII. I'll look at the illusory truth effect, how the more someone is exposed to a message, the more they believe it to be true. And Henry had a message he wanted spread.

Here's how to turn it off.

The first draft of “my brother can go f*** himself” was determined undignified, if not inaccurate…
Someone - if not the principal then presumably a professional advisor on law or PR - must have looked at the sentence "these censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations" and said "hang on, that makes it look like you don't believe him" And yet.

Just f**k off you drug addled spunk monkey. You’re not from here, you don’t live here, you and your ignorant ramblings are not wanted here. The sooner someone shoots you into space, and you bob around like one of those Russian dogs in the 50s till the air runs out, the better off humanity will be.
