Union Carpenter Derek Ellis of Skowhegan was down the street from his job site in Portland when he saw ICE agents shout at a woman to "get the hell out" of her car. As they tore her out of her car, she screamed "I'm a US citizen! I'm a citizen!" as her small child in a carseat cried hysterically.

Maine--also under an ICE surge--has an undocumented population of about 5,000 people & the nation's lowest rate of violent crime. Because they can't find "the worst of the worst," they're primarily detaining people w/ legal status & no criminal record. This isn't about immigration.

Is there any actual evidence that Alex Pretti was carrying a gun yesterday?? I don't pretend to understand the mentality of gun owners, but I think that any rational person (which he appears to have been) would know that having a gun in that situation was tantamount to committing suicide by cop.

Big clash this afternoon between DHS agents and protesters in a residential street in Minneapolis, following a DHS agent hitting another vehicle. Tear gas was deployed in people’s yards and agents pepper prayed people.
