NPR reports that head of realtors group says would take homeowner 40 years to pay off half of what was borrowed using 50 year mortgage

Who would benefit from this stupid idea? Lenders? New housing developers? There is some scam here for sure

We're going to see a lot more of this And again I have to ask - the goal seems to be to send the US economy into a recession, but why? WHY? Who will benefit from it? Will it be used to pit Americans against each other? Bring about martial law?

Because of course
While Trump murders people on boats for supposedly trafficking drugs, Jonathan Braun, a convicted drug trafficker serving a 10 year sentence he pardoned in 2021, will be sentenced in court today after he sexually assaulted a woman after Trump freed him from prison.

Another true
Tuesday’s elections were NOT about the Democratic Party.

They were about candidates focusing on the wants and needs of their constituents; about new leaders prepared to fight; about representation in every sense of the word.

Party leaders haven’t absorbed this yet.

Truth
American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

While many are lamenting the compromise to end the shutdown (and if the ACA subsidies are extended as promised it will achieve the goal) what it did force out in the open is just how cruel the Trump admin is For example Trump SUED to BLOCK a court order to FEED poor Americans Think about that

Chris Coons: "He's not listening to concerns about lowering costs. Instead he's worried about decorating his new Marie Antoinette ballroom or engaging in trying to figure out how to get his name on more statues and stadiums, or he's sitting across the table in the Oval Office with authoritarians."
