Concerned Citizen, Forester, small-time Entrepreneur from a little town in the mountains of Maine (2nd district). I make a living with 3rd party certification standards for sustainable wood products (FSC, SFI, PEFC).
This is what a Susan Collins is supporting. A ‘pause’ in operations will not bring this man home.

This is corrupt, lawless violence. It needs to stop. All of it.

A legal asylum-seeker who works at Chipotle and plays music at a church in Maine went missing. His pastor searched and searched, eventually finding his abandoned car with the keys on the floor.

ICE grabbed him. No criminal record. No explanation.

This is so transparently cynical. Noem agreed to give Collins a headline item in exchange for her vote.

Lawless violence will (maybe) pause in Maine, but continue everywhere else.

No, Senator. Not even close.

Susan Collins just voted to continue lawless violence by ICE. A major betrayal of her oath and responsibility.

The massive government funding package just failed badly in the Senate, 45-55.

Needed 60.

Zero Democrats voted for it.

SEVEN Republicans opposed it:

Budd
Johnson
Lee
Paul
Moody
Rick Scott
Tuberville

(John Thune switched his vote to no for procedural reasons.)

Maine is watching this closely. The DHS bill (unmodified) is a betrayal. Full stop.

A CR continues lawless violence, so MUST be short. ICE performance conditions must be meaningful and immediate. The status quo is intolerable.
Latest intel: The 5 govt funding bills will pass, & the 6th, the DHS bill, will get a continuing resolution to buy time to negotiate whatever these conditions in ICE are. The fight right now btwn Schumer & the White House is how long that CR will be. The WH wants 3 months; Schumer wants 1-2 weeks.

Susan Collins seems to want everyone to ignore this. That’s a hard no for me (& ME).

Are you paying attention? Don’t get played. Shut it all down if you need to. We’ll back you.
“An administration official gave away the game to Punchbowl News, admitting that these “de-escalatory measures” are about placating Senate Democrats so they don’t seize this moment to demand restrictions on ICE as part of any government funding package.”

Donald Trump Is Frightened
Trump wants to appear eager to minimize out-of-control clashes between government militias and protesters. But he doesn’t want to stop the things causing those clashes in the first place.

HUGE news! This is about a Trump admin effort to arrest thousands of screened and vetted refugees in Minnesota and fly them to Texas to be jailed and then interrogated.

After the interrogation is over, people are being dumped on the street and told to find their own way back.

Who signed this warrant? Right after the election every judge to hear the issue concluded there was no evidence of election fraud. Now suddenly there's enough evidence to support a warrant?

This is the agency that Susan Collins wants to fund and support. Completely lawless and violent. Destroying public trust to satisfy a degenerate sociopath.
A federal judge, in a published order, so very much on the record:

“ICE has likely violated more court orders in January 2026 than some federal agencies have violated in their entire existence.”

Susan Collins wants to fund and support Trump’s secret police. That’s unacceptable and un-American. We don’t do that here.

It's amazing how this radical "step too far" is how every law enforcement officer in the country operated for our entire history.
Tillis says he opposes ICE being barred from wearing masks: "I've seen people dox me. I've seen people take pictures and identify law enforcement officers and then put their families at risk. So, I think that's a step too far."

Somebody needs to play this video for Susan Collins. These are 2 of the people being branded as ‘domestic terrorists’.

DHS/ICE is out of control. Needs to be disarmed, disbanded, and prosecuted.
A retired Minneapolis couple who had guns pointed at them by ICE in a church parking lot.

"They were obviously not trained at all. I've known many police officers in my life. These people were right off the streets."

"They had the professional demeanor of criminals."

I wrote to Susan Collins last week to ask her to respond to the obvious, intentional lying by DHS.

She has offered meaningless remarks about investigating this. And also continued supporting funding of this lawless violence. This is an insult to all of us.

We also found that a federal agent was wearing a body cam that appeared to be pointing in the direction of Pretti when he was on the floor, as well as in the direction of the four first gunshots. DHS told Fox News that some of the agents' body cameras were recording at the time of the shooting.
