The only reason Elon bought Twitter was because all the journalists were gathered there in one place, and that gives tremendous power.

For example, Trump used Twitter to win his first Presidency.

Journalists thought the speed of Twitter was helpful; it was, but for the Russians.

When Trump insults women’s looks, don't buy into it by assessing the women's looks. After Trump called a reporter “Piggy,” some folks posted her photo. DON’T! Who cares what she looks like? Today, Trump called another reporter “ugly.” The issue isn't her. It's the ugliness in Trump's broken brain.

BREAKING: new emails CONFIRM my reporting that there are TRAINING VIDEOS instructing FBI personnel on how to review the Epstein Files. Plus, a lot more…
The emails reveal the special training given to FBI personnel working on what it called the “Epstein Transparency Project.” In some instances they referred to it as the “Special Redaction Project.” The training entailed PowerPoint slide presentations and video instruction on how to review the files.

Something like this. Twitter doesn't pay salaries of troll farm workers--though foreign trolls can make some money off of their Twitter accounts. Troll farm owners--who pay salaries, hoping to influence American elections--may be foreign govs, oligarchs connected to them, foreign billionaires etc.
If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

A lot of people are going to find out, too late, that being connected to someone who's (at least temporarily) untouchable doesn't protect them. Best option? Don't engage in illegal acts.

Is Susan Collins happy to learn that Russia is running US foreign policy now? Probably not. But she’s far too frightened of Trump to say so.
#mepolitics
Even the text of the alleged "peace agreement" between Russia and Ukraine being touted by the Trump administration betrays its Kremlin origins. They were in such a such a rush they didn't even have it properly translated.

Two Maine realities:
1) Trump is weak and getting weaker, old and getting older. Supporters know.
2) Susan Collins can only be re-elected next year if she persuades Maine voters that it’s 2014 again. Her supporters know this.

Two realities to keep in mind

1) Mamdani CANNOT run for prez. Born in Uganda, no joke. That is huge blessing: means that his message and style can be judged on their own terms, not 'What does this mean for Iowa caucuses?'

2) Trump is weak and getting weaker, old and getting older. Supporters know

I've seen in-person politics since the time Jimmy Carter charmed Hunter S Thompson. Which really mattered, then.

Nothing matches the way Mamdani made Trump into his little fan-boy today.

Maybe tomorrow, Trump will realize this and go berserk. But for this moment—it's like when I saw Sandy Koufax.

I'm pressuring Trump to release the transcript of his call with MBS.

As I said on Meet the Press, the American people deserve to know what was said on that call. Checkmate, Mr. President.

Susan Collins is right in the middle of this. Is Trump giving illegal orders? Of course he is. Everyone knows this. Collins (& rest of the GOP) have decided that laws don’t apply to them. Shameful dishonest and unamerican.

Today I passed a CPB/ICE checkpoint on the Clara Barton Parkway—an unwelcome reminder of the administration's authoritarian aspirations.

But I wasn't surprised. A minute prior, I drove by a young man. He held a simple sign. Sharpie on poster board, written in thin, neat letters: "ICE Ahead"

Yesterday, Trump defended the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office.

He said he had “nothing” to do with the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

But I reviewed a call while serving on Trump’s NSC that I believe would be of interest to the Khashoggi family and the American people.

Release the transcript.
