It hasn’t been getting in the national media, but ICE has been wreaking havoc in two of Oregon’s most diverse areas - Washington County, and Woodburn down to Salem. Hillsboro - a major suburb and home to Intel’s largest factories - declared a state of emergency this week as well.

Welp. I built my second threads account up again, and started having some popular posts, and they just suspended me again for no reason. They are literally killing my account as soon as I make posts that are popular. Back to the personal diary that is bluesky, I guess.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

A nice obituary for Alice, who was going to be recognized as one of The Post 50.

I hate that we now have to live without this phenomenal woman.
