Exactly right. Drug addiction is a health issue not a criminal one. Undermining and eventually eradicating a dangerous, exploitative black market for one. Also, jails would be half empty. But no. Pearl clutching and “War on drugs” bullshit. Because god forbid we try to solve an actual problem.
