It covers just a few of the many troubling strands in this story of public funds misuse.

Tees Valley mayor Lord (Ben) Houchen promised renewal. Instead, Britain’s biggest regeneration project has turned into a taxpayer-funded scandal - enriching a few local businessmen while leaving public bodies on the brink.

"It's a question of priorities. And this is the most magnificent transported bridge in the world. It's part of not only Teesside's industrial heritage, but our nation's industrial heritage too. And I actually don't care where the money comes from - as long as it happens."

I visited the site of the new Outwood Riverside School in the shadow of the Transporter Bridge.

The steel framework is now flying out of the ground.

This is going to be a fantastic addition to our town and a huge positive for so many of our young people who will benefit.

The Employment Rights Bill will improve your rights at work.

Reform, Tories and Lib Dems have tried to rip-up those rights.

But we will deliver on our promise to you.

Today I spoke to ITV Tyne Tees about the news our iconic Transporter Bridge has been added to the Historic England "At Risk" register.

I was clear - we need to restore it, whatever it takes.

The Tony Blair Institute is urging the Labour Govt to abandon its pledge on day-one rights at work.

Caving into employers who want to dismiss workers unfairly, is symptomatic of why trust in politics is broken.

The Govt must reject this advice.

For 40 years, workers’ share of national income has fallen as union rights eroded—made worse by 14 years of Tory wage stagnation.

Labour’s task is to raise living standards.

The Employment Rights Bill delivers that—let’s defend it and deliver a fairer world of work.

The Met should pay them a £1250 consolidated allowance to meet the cost of living in London, that was paid to police officers.

Congratulations to @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social on your inspiring victory! 🌹

He stood on a rent freeze, public groceries, fare-free buses, no-cost childcare, a $30 min wage, and taxing the 1%.

These are bold, socialist politics that can deliver for working people.

The Public Accountability Bill is a testament to the courage of the Hillsborough families. I welcome it's duty of candour.

I called for a full, judge-led inquiry into the tragedies at TEWV NHS Trust, so those families too can find truth and justice.

The govt has indicated a real-terms pay cut for education and health, and police and prison staff.

The Budget should commit to a long-term plan for pay restoration.

And it should replace the pay review system with new sectoral collective bargaining.

Tory and Lib Dem Lords have voted to SCRAP Labour's new protections against being unfairly sacked from day one, meaning workers must wait 6 months for this to happen.

But this isn't over. When the Employment Rights Bill returns to the Commons, MPs can safeguard day one unfair dismissal protections.

Raising real incomes and living standards is the priority.
