Against all odds, I managed to track down a hardcover copy of The Wicked + The Divine Vol. 3 for a reasonable price. I've all but given up hope for the final book though, unless someone has a couple of hundred quid and/or a kindly eBay seller to lend me.

Why hasn't anyone created a convenient way to store floppy comics that isn't absurdly ugly? Currently some of my favourite comics ever are sat in a grey cardboard box and the best option to get them on a bookshelf seems to be learning amateur bookbinding.

I first read The Immortal Hulk digitally (before I bought a tablet so most of my Marvel reading was done on my phone on the tube, insane behaviour tbh) so the oversized hardback editions are a revelation.

I've enjoyed every issue of The Power Fantasy immensely but the frantic escalation in #15 reminds me of the Mulaney joke about drawing a Happy Birthday sign.

Every time I watch ALIEN I am transfixed thinking to myself "there's no way they've left themselves enough room to get the third horizontal line in that E without it looking like a squashed-in mess!" but no, every single time there it is, and it's beautiful. Most tense part of the movie tbh.
