The government is saying that violence rules. That snatching foreign leaders and territories, and shooting US citizens in their cars at point blank range, is justified. That resistance is not only futile, it is dangerous. They can say these things. But they cannot force us to believe them.

“Gov. JB Pritzker signed HB 1312 allowing any IL resident to sue ICE agents for constitutional violations and collect at least $10,000 plus attorney fees, while creating 1,000-foot enforcement-free zones around every courthouse.”

Free states once defied the Fugitive Slave Act by blocking federal overreach. California and Illinois now revive that resistance through modern civil rights law.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but cops are not allowed to shoot people just because you didn't do what they said.

That is called murder when they do that.

Some cops are working hard to convince people otherwise.

There's honestly been some pretty good news coverage tonight on TV regarding today's events. It's not a coincidence.

Like half a dozen prominent Democrats finally came out this afternoon and said ICE is terrorist trash led by a secretary who should be impeached and it flipped the whole narrative.

Disgusting, but at least she's out (for now): "During her 25-day detainment, Diaz Morales was transferred often and held in five detention centers in Maryland, Louisiana, Texas and, finally, New Jersey. Her lawyers were only able to speak to her twice during her detention." Gift: wapo.st/44Zs2TH
After 25 days, ICE releases Maryland woman who says she is a U.S. citizen
Dulce Consuelo Diaz Morales was detained in December despite her legal team’s claims that she was born in the United States.

side discussion but anyone saying the real issue with ICE is a lack of proper training is subtly arguing for increased funding and should probably be ignored going forward regarding all substantive matters

I do not understand some of the reactions to the cold-blooded murder of a young mother by ICE agents.

ICE doesn’t need better training. ICE isn’t ill equipped. It is a modern day gestapo and a totally illegitimate force. It should he abolished. Full stop. It should not take a murder to say so

Minnesota pays ~$119 billion to the federal government in taxes and receives only ~$75 billion in benefits.
If the Trump administration decides to withhold funds from liberal states and those states stop paying, the government will be broke very soon.

The swift, lockstep attempt to dehumanize and villainize Renee Nicole Good might be the most depraved thing we've seen yet from these ghouls and their supporters. These people are utterly fucking dead inside.

This is the only correct position, and the inevitable response from knee-jerk centrist reactionaries of "it won't work" is not a valid objection. Every member of Congress has a duty to say that what Noem has been doing is not acceptable.
I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy.

She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

This is a lie and should not be spread.

Renee Good has a wife, who was, horrifically, in the car with her when she was executed by the government.

It is flatly untrue to assert that child has no one else in his life.
