Of all the Illinois Senate candidates in the Democratic primary, Christopher Swann has by far the best platform. The problem is that Raja Krishnamoorthi, the current polling leader, has by far the *worst*.

Trump's Department of Justice was apparently monitoring members of Congress as they search through the newly-unredacted Epstein Files, tracking their search terms. Rep. Jamie Raskin calls it "Orwellian" and a "violation of the separation of powers."

Yes, by all means, Democrats, whatever you do, in the middle of Trump's SOTU speech, DO NOT stand up and yell, "QUIET PIGGY," unless you want to be the frontrunner for the 2028 presidential nomination.

Said at whips meeting this AM to either sit in "silent defiance" or boycott altogether, sources told @axios.com

“He doesn’t agree with the phrase ‘abolish ICE’ because he said there are too many interpretations for it…”—we have been here before. “Abolish ICE” is a demand; it is clear. Don’t let electeds turn a policy question into a comms strategy debate so they can dodge stating they oppose the demand.
Stay for this bonkers interview with Rep. Adam Smith about his financial support from Palantir, facilitators of the ICE panopticon.

It's kind of funny that they showed up to court matching.

Also, not that anyone cares—nor should care—it kinda feels like there are only two camps left: People who still defend Blake Lively, and those who have actually read the court docs.

I’ve never felt unsafe in this bougie neighborhood a day in my life. This is a 25 mph zone, full of fancy bars and restaurants, a curling club, salons, boutiques, and one of the busiest coffee shops around. They are doing their damndest to wreck everything here.
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
