So today @safety.bsky.app gave Saeed a lifetime ban despite going out of his way to prove his existence. I don't know what problem @jay.bsky.team has with Arabs, but if you find @bsky.app's draconian and racist targeting bad, donate and email moderation@blueskyweb.xyz.

Dem caving on the government shutdown deal would end the hemp loophole on THC:

The government shutdown may last longer because of a fight over hemp
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said he will not support speedy passage of a deal to reopen the government because of a provision that would make some THC products illegal.

Hemp regulation is a genuine issue but overnight obliteration is ludicrously bad policy. Whole lot of hemp and hemp-associated businesses will go under, this criminalizes basically every delta-8/9 product with enough in it to have a psychoactive effect.

(Those 24 Senators voted the right way.)
The shutdown deal includes a ban on hemp products that none of its negotiators debated in public.

Disappointing that only 24 senators voted against killing an amendment to strike that ban.

What the f*ck @slotkin.senate.gov?

You want to kill Michigan's Hemp industry? I thought you ran on replacing pro-farmer Stabenow? What a f*cking crock.
Here are the Senators who voted to criminalize hemp products:

Since the @michigandems.bsky.social thanked @peters.senate.gov and @slotkin.senate.gov for voting against this measure, then I expect @curtisherteljr.bsky.social and our Democratic Senators to call for @schumer.senate.gov's removal as Minority Leader.

This is what his failure has gotten us.

Many things led to this moment but top of mind right now are blaming women for ruining the workplace & continuing to smear those who speak out against genocide.

It’s a shame because I need to be up-to-date on the news but I will not support fascism financially.

It’s time for @democrats.senate.gov to remove @schumer.senate.gov as Senate Minority Leader. Either Schumer’s caucus went rogue or he helped coordinate this shameful move. Either way, it’s he has to go.

Why are @democrats.org like Mallory McMorrow still working with her? This is a reflection ON THEM as CANDIDATES.

The broad vibe shift against an organization like AIPAC is good overall and indicates something serious in the underlying direction of the Democratic base but I think, and have for a long time now thought, it was always a bit too simplistic to chalk up the pro-Israel consensus *to* AIPAC et al.
