Farage warned just now against “a worrying extreme left wing voice in this country."

Hmmm.

This from a climate denying, Trump loving, NHS selling corporate stooge who’s been a genuine threat to Britain for decades.

Thank you so much to @zackpolanski.bsky.social for inviting me onto his podcast. We talked about critical issues the media & political establishment is ignoring such as the extraordinarily dumb & dangerous UK defence deal with Peter Thiel’s Palantir

Thousands left without water in the middle of winter in the UK. And those same people are now facing a massive bill hike.

Privatised water is a scam.

I've written to the Prime Minister asking why he won't end this rip off and bring failing South East Water into public hands.

It wasn’t the racism.
It wasn’t the rule breaking.
It wasn’t the corruption.

No Jenrick gets removed for plotting.

Politics for too many leaders is just a game, and not a moral one.

It’s why people are crying out for hope.
NEW: Big, big news in Westminster for the Conservative Party. Kemi Badenoch has not only sacked but removed the whip from Robert Jenrick, saying he was planning to defect.

This is the thing. The story that "the UK is joining a mission to defend European territory from US aggression" is *huge*, it overturns a century of geopolitical assumptions, it'd overwhelm everything else. But the story is also "one guy goes on trip which may well go nowhere". Which is silly.
Now I'm wondering, was the Franz Ferdinand news in the number one slot the next day? Would probably have sounded mad if they'd gone big and said it meant a world war was coming?

In completely unrelated news, here's this week's podcast on Reform and Russia.

The 'give ice qr codes' thing reminds me of when Sarah Everard was murdered by a real policeman using his real police id to kidnap her, and the police & gvt made out the solution was to have a helpline to check that the person bundling you away was a real policeman (as the murderer was)

Nice one, Wes

Going to get Jordan Peterson to address officials overseeing dietary guidelines next? Have Jeremy Clarkson set the environmental agenda?

Might as well do at this point. They've all sold loads of books too, that's all the qualifications you need, right?

Decided at least one more thing I’m gonna do: I plan to call my House rep and both Senators EVERY DAY and bug them about the points below for the next month. Then we’ll see. I invite you to do something like this too - they need to be flooded with calls, letters, emails, messages. But mostly calls!
“But what do you expect Democrats to doo-hooo?”

1) Refuse to fund this criminal government anymore.

2) EVERY one of them call to abolish ICE (and bonus, DHS). No more “they need training” shit. Promise prosecutions.

3) EVERY one of them call for Trump’s impeachment, relentlessly, EVERY day.

I will never stop until the Labour Govt’s toolkit for authoritarians has been dismantled piece by piece.

Today mandatory Digital ID, and next we stop police facial rec and preserve protest rights and trial by jury. Human rights matter more than ever right now.

My favorite game bug to read about was in Jet Set Willy for ZX Spectrum, where an enemy can travel past the screen and into active memory to just fuck the game itself, which they initially handwaved by saying "don't stay in that room too long there's uhhhh poison gas"

So after my dad waited 32 hours for a bed, I was in medical assessment for 24 hours before being accidentally discharged and called back. I’m still in the waiting room after a CT. Nurses keep muttering “there are no beds.” And it’s not the fault of the NHS. It’s Streeting and the government
