FINLAND IS NOT RE-GAUGING ITS RAILWAYS

Just because an urbanist influencer has posted a 6 months old piece (that was anyway inaccurate) about it does not mean it is happening!

Finland *might* lay some additional standard gauge track from Sweden to Oulu

I switched to New Outlook a while back because some little thing wouldn't work with Old. I've tried sticking with it for a few months. It's... so bad? So many things work worse than they did before, in a hundred tiny ways and for no obvious reason other than to look different.

We’re watching a shift where AI simulates the cohesion and reinforcement that used to require an entire online community. A single person can now build a complete parallel reality with nothing more than a prompt window. Which seems bad.

I've mentioned this quietly, but - since the summer my hobby has been making this ambitious murder mystery podcast. A story. Narrated by me, with a mouthwatering cast. Partly interactive. Trailer is coming tomorrow but if you like the sound of this, please follow @murderbastard.bsky.social.

I've been exploring lost eras of the Smashing Pumpkins lately, like a young and relevant person would do. Anyway: this song kicks ass.

No no you don't get it, when he said "do you want to go back to the jungle" he just meant that he's really excited about Guns n Roses touring again.
Elon Musk’s father on the prospect of the U.S. becoming a minority-white country:

“This will be very very bad. You want to see the U.S. go dark? You don’t like electric cars and technology? Do you want to go back to the jungle?”

Seems: dumb.
Here's a chart of the marginal tax rate for someone with two kids. They pay 53% tax on every £ they earn between £60k and £80k. 62% on every £ they earn between £100k and £125k.

9% more if they've a student loan

Headline from a serious and long working paper on the economic impact of Brexit. Possible that this has been feeding into OBR and HMT discussions?

Unlike cow tools themselves, which are entirely normal and need no further explanation.
