if you are mad at people on bikes because they are biking where you're walking, you are almost certainly actually mad at cars
So expand the lanes! The problem is bikes and pedestrians fighting over like 12% of street space when the vast majority is dedicated to cars
Sure there is.

If you don't limit e-bikes, they will wreak havoc on bike-only lanes.

I would like to note that several local media outlets covered this lawsuit with breathless incredulity and have not so much as mentioned my MCFA complaint against the LGC.

Which I am not withdrawing. Because its legitimate.
After previously accusing the City of perpetrating “a fraud upon the electorate” over Proposals A & B and seeking to cancel an active election, in what Mayor Taylor called “campaign disinformation in the form of a lawsuit,” plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed their lawsuit today. #A2Council

Just saw all the cool events that @aadl.org has scheduled (in addition to the Summer Game!) and compared that to what the Center of the City/Commons group has going on. Seems as if they can’t even keep a planter looking good. Vote yes on A & B, for crying out loud. This is embarassing. #A2Council

ceding ground on unit count is what bothered me the most about the #a2council resolution last week. Height limits were annoying but workable, but this takes a ton of *less expensive* housing off the table in more than half the city.
When we restrict the number of units in a new building, we make it less affordable. See empirical data below.

A form-based code would give our neighbors what they want -- predictability about the height and dimensionality of new buildings. Unit caps are unnecessary and harmful to affordability.
When four homes replace a SFH, each new home is about the same price as the original, and at 5 units or more, the new homes tend to be more affordable. But the critical comparison is to the 1-for-1 replacement — a mansionization, in other words.

Campaign filing statements are in: Vote No on Proposals A and B raised $15,250 in cash. $10,000 of that came from Tom Weider, a lawyer who lives in a 7,000 sq ft $2M house. There were a total of SIX cash donors. #a2council

The argument that #AnnArbor and #a2council didn't do a damn thing to support the Center of the City completely ignores the investment of city resources in creating and supporting the Council of the Commons. As someone who gave time & energy as a member of that body, it's both baffling and offensive.

The NIMBYs’ latest [definitely 100% legal to pay for with their 501c3] campaign flyer is of course complete nonsense that looks like it was written by a serial killer, but I think the most upsetting part is using PascalCase for “rezone” all over the place. #a2council
