Family member pointed out the other day “the problem with AI isn’t that it doesn’t do what you want. It’s that it does 80% of what you want, and everyone is trying to convince you 80% is good enough now because that’s all the AI can do.”

To me, one of the worst things about neurodivergence is that people don't believe you. When you fuck something up that makes other people feel like you don't care. And you're trying to make them believe that you really do care and it's just your brain not cooperating.

#A2Council 🧵this is a perfectly reasonable request from a developer to amend their PUD zoning to allow uses otherwise allowed in D1 (the zoning they are surrounded by). I expect at least a couple Planning Commissioners to be unreasonable on this

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

#a2council we index at 420 residents per zoning ordinance page. Very on brand.
Fairfax City, VA's zoning ordinance has about one page for every 80 residents. That's too much zoning.

Here's the thing. Here's how you know we're not focused on the right things. Technology that is truly focused on engaging human experience is invisible. It just enables products and services that we use. If you have to talk about the tech, you're usually trying to fill the gap in its actual utility.

This is a great clip. Say no to the future they want.

But also actively build the future we want. Honestly, I think that's the part we're really struggling with. In the absence of our own vision to give us direction, we'll still get dragged along with whatever is happening.
