I find lost things, watch Ann Arbor City Council, and I like squirrels, tech, and city living. Change is fine. Primarily pedestrian.

Sorry, but I’m not pulling punches on this one. Being “anti-ICE” is the only possible “good messaging” that anyone that wants to be on the right side of history can have. Many issues have room for nuance, but this one doesn’t. You’re either anti-ICE or you’re wrong, and likely an awful human being.
i don't really give a shit if consultants think being anti-ICE is "good messaging" or whatever when people are actively being shot, beat, gassed and jailed.

From the Editorial Board: Every last American should agree the death in Minneapolis of a 37-year-old American mother of three at the hands of a gun wielded by an agent of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is an abomination and, we fear, a harbinger of yet worse to come.
Editorial: A needless death in Minneapolis
Look at the beginning of the Minneapolis killing footage, not the end.

Although most US cities have failed at attracting families with kids in downtowns and other urban places (largely through the creation of a self-fulfilling prophesy of failure), other places, including Vancouver, have succeeded. Does your local coffee shop look like this?

If not, it’s probably because:
1) zoning created large distances between housing & shops.
2) the streets between housing & shops are unsafe for biking.
3) there isn’t any/enough secure bike parking
