It’s so funny to me that the Germans are like “Jewish hate is increasing” and their example is a woman holding a sign that says “Fuck U Germany”- genuinely a country convinced that hating them is the same as hating the people they slaughtered

They don't actually have any fucking right to demand a random guy subject himself to fingerprinting or facial recognition bullshit to begin with. "As with any law enforcement agency" would still be a Constitutional violation, but they have no legal right to engage in general law enforcement either
DHS is out with a new explanation of this and "he's a brown guy who looked like some sex criminals who he allegedly lived with" (his sister-in-law's story suggests that last part is made up), and they claim he refused to be fingerprinted or "facially ID'd," which I do not in any way believe at all.

These issues themselves are fine but the refusal to place immigration and the secret police terrorizing our families alongside those issues presumably means that a bunch of leadership are white supremacists and I am fairly comfortable jumping to that conclusion at this point.
NEW: In this interview, Chuck Schumer describes the "five buckets" Dems think are key to their possibly winning a Senate majority in 2026: housing, "the high price of food [and] food monopolies playing a major role there," electricity, "the high cost of childcare," and health care.
Zero Chucks Left to Give
Chuck Schumer now sees a path back to the majority. Can he manage his way through it?

Fun fact: Black Panthers doing perfectly legal (at the time) open carry in CA in the 1960s spurred then-Governor Reagan to sign the Mulford Act into law in 1965, prohibiting it.

These people have no consistent politics outside a desperate, leering need to keep hold of power and privilege.

🚨Despite the first phase of a fragile ceasefire being in place, people in Gaza are still being deliberately deprived of water. We must be allowed to respond at scale. Read more: bit.ly/4pJkfks

The "ICE is using military tactics suited for a warzone, not for American streets" rhetoric kinda misses the point that warzones are not naturally occuring. The US military creates war zones from residential neighborhoods and the tactics are not more justifiable just because it's overseas

She is pleading with them:

“I’m disabled! I have a brain injury! Put me down!”

She was on her way to a traumatic brain injury Center when they grabbed her and threw her in detention.

She requested a doctor, was denied and lost consciousness.

Utterly inhumane.

elected democrats who want their constituents to remain non-violent in their protests of these abuses must actually offer a path for ending the abuses non-violently. they currently are not as a party and it’s a major problem.
🚨WHOA. The El Paso Medical Examiner says it will rule the death of a 55-year-old Cuban man at ICE's "Camp East Montana" tent camp as a homicide.

He was allegedly choked to death by a guard during a "struggle" after he refused to enter a housing unit without his medications.

Of course they have.

To save money. To appease staff who “don’t want to mask”.

To downplay the pandemic.

It’s cost countless lives.

Never forget that hospital acquired Covid has a near 10% mortality rate.

Patients shouldn’t have to choose between care and Covid.
“At stake is whether health systems have been knowingly deploying substandard protective equipment in environments where exposure to lethal airborne disease is foreseeable, continuous and unavoidable.”

Yes they have.

“sir? sir! I know you can’t hear me over the artillery fire but would you please stop shooting and stand still? I need to scan your QR code.”
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.
