You can't get block level income statistics of any reliability, and I don't have the time or energy to map valuation data ... but my qualitative impression from running every damned street in both cities is that on a block-by-block level Saint Paul is significantly less segregated by income.

All of this dunking is fun, but I hate how many characters are in this post
Had no choice but to pay $40 for a taxi burrito because I couldn't figure out how to decant olives

I really don't like the phrase "it is what it is"

I also really don't like "right or wrong" when talking about something is clearly one of the two

Really seems like a big part of Homan’s strategy in Minnesota is just telling people ICE is drawing down to trick folks into being less vigilant.

I think one thing people outside Minnesota don't understand is that after Good and Pretti were killed by feds while observing, the most normal people you could imagine have made peace with the fact that they could be next, and they are still out there because they say it's the right thing to do.
“If I am killed doing this, throw my body at the White House, martyr the shit out of me & raise hell. Do not be sad. Do not think I would do anything differently. I would do it over & over again — this is too important to sit down & shut up and not do anything.” www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
Pursued by federal agents, suburban ICE observers remain resolved
After a frightening pursuit by federal agents, suburban ICE observers say fear hasn’t stopped them from protecting their communities.

I used to see a gaggle of turkeys out my window daily in Crocus Hill. They seem to have lost interest or haven't been finding food on my block as consistently as I haven't seen them since December.
Here’s some more from the turkeys of Saint Paul. Where you going, guys? What’s the matter, are you late for your appointment at Nothing At All?

Seeing all of the reports of packed caucuses, and uh, man, things might really be changing a bit here in Minnesota.

Abolish ICE.

There’s no reforming it.

There’s no compromise.

There’s only one way to rein in ICE’s terror campaign. Abolish it.

Today’s Alex Pretti Unity ride sounds amazing, but a local community group asked me to do one tomorrow (Sunday) for anyone who couldn’t make it today, so if you’re interested in a South Minneapolis 5-miler on 95% protected lanes, DM me.

There’s a @mprnews.org story about local police in St. Peter, MN helping a local woman evade the clutches of ICE agents. I don’t see it in their website yet. They said it appears to be the first such incident in Minnesota

You walk into this bar and show your ICE mugshot, you don't pay a dime.
Scrolling through the photos of Pam Bondi's "Minnesota rioters," it's just hero after hero. Every photo includes a cowardly DHS agent with their back to the camera.

Bondi thinks she's going to win the propaganda war with this shit, but it's never been more clear that they're losing.

A modern hero we can all get behind

God I'm sad
They broke his rib a week before, and he was back out there protecting his neighbors when they murdered him.
CNN reporting that a week before Alex Pretti was killed, 5 agents tackled him and he suffered a broken rib. CNN says he stopped his car after he saw ICE agents interacting with a family on foot and began to blow his whistle. Source tells CNN Pretti believed “That day he thought he was going to die”
