If we ever actually reach a point of real artificial intelligence, it will be truly alien to us. We don't even understand how our own consciousness works; the idea that we'd have any concept of how an AI would think & feel just because we created the seeds from which it grew is extremely laughable.

It's weird, I don't really experience that uncanny valley discomfort when seeing imagery of "almost but not quite actual human" folks, but I do get it from reading most LLM generated text.

This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

Watched the Minecraft movie, and it's one of those rare films that is for just the intended audience, and no one else. There are no jokes, innuendos, hints, easter eggs, or references for "the parents". It's just a film about Minecraft made for kids who like Minecraft and silly movies.
