When Covid caused NYC offices to hollow out what they found was that yeah the core business districts suffered but the neighborhoods where people actually live, thrived.

if you cant go in to the office 3 days a week then you really can't complain when cities are hollowed out. cities are places where ppl work and network. getting rid of that makes cities useless

I saw someone during all the Bond talk do the "oh, he's a Time Lord" thing, the extra-nerdy cousin of the "oh, James Bond is just a codename" thing, and what that and the below have in common is -- can we as a culture just for once be NORMAL about the occasional need for recasting, for fuck's sake?

I think a lot of white people have not yet accepted that destroying white supremacy will mean the end of whiteness. I think that scares them cuz they think whiteness is real and anchored to something (biology, culture, etc). It's not.
