Not to be unkind, but I am so impatient about the “what’s the point of making my little zines/comics/crafts/art when the world is on fire” sentiments. I get it, but saving the world is not a responsibility shouldered by your art! That’s what being a neighbor, a friend, and hell, a citizen is for!!!

Here's a touch of lightness: my dad found an episode of What's My Line from 1951, where a panel of celebrities had to guess what my great-grandfather did for a living [spoiler: mattress manufacturer]. This was the first time either of us had heard what my great-grandfather sounded like. It was cool.

The yearly Twilight Zone marathon on SyFy is a good time to restate the basics:
-Season 4 is underrated. They're hourlong, but that just means the story's fleshed out better.
-Every attempt to reboot the series fails because they don't insist on practical effects/black and white.
-Jack Klugman.
