Honestly, I think more cis people (including queer cis people) need to get more comfortable with the fact that they aren't actually entitled to an opinion on what is/isn't important to our transitions.
A cis person I was talking to referred to gender affirming clothing and accessories for trans people as "a bandaid, in my opinion."

Read the thread. Context: why we don't always welcome those who "voted for this" into the fold once they verbalize they were wrong, but are not doing the work to learn why they were wrong and are hand wringing (my interpretation) rather than working to earn trust. And maybe it's good we don't.
